The ongoing International Assistance (IA) project ‘Inventory of intangible culture of craftsmanship in the core of Historic Cairo’ tackles living heritage practices that lie within the urban and historic areas of Historic Cairo, a World Heritage site. Traditional crafts have notably been identified by young researchers and participants, and awareness on the importance of safeguarding intangible cultural heritage (ICH) was raised amongst craftsmen.
